Regional Science Centre, Bhubaneswar is one of the 26 science centres / science museums under the network of National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. The Centre houses three Science Galleries viz. Mathematics, Popular Science and Motion, a Science Park and a Pre-historic Life Park with Light & Sound Show. In addition to the above facilities, the Centre also runs two Mobile Science Exhibition buses as an outreach programme on the topic ‘Mathematics’ and ‘Electricity & Magnetism’ to rural areas to spread message of science at the doorstep of people.
Regional Science Centre, Bhubaneswar was established on 18th September, 1989.
The Centre aims at inculcating scientific temper and popularize Science and Technology in the state of Odisha through its gallery exhibits and Science Park, Science exhibitions, Training and workshops, Seminars, Popular Lectures, Special shows and Educational programmes, Mobile Science exhibitions amongst people of all walks of life.
